What areas do you cover for dog walking?
We offer dog walking services throughout Alton Hampshire, and the surrounding villages. If you're unsure whether we cover your location, please get in touch.
How long are the daily dog walks?
Our standard daily dog walks last approximately 60 minutes, ensuring your dog gets the exercise and stimulation they need.
Are you insured to walk dogs?
Yes, Lead The Way is fully insured to walk dogs, providing peace of mind for our clients.
What happens in bad weather?
We walk dogs in most weather conditions, but in extreme cases, we will contact you to discuss alternative arrangements.
What days are you available for dog walking?
We provide dog walking services Monday to Friday for daily walks. Additional weekend adventures are available on request.
Do you offer services for puppies?
Yes, we offer tailored puppy visits to suit the needs of your young dog, including playtime, toilet breaks, and feeding if required.
Do you only look after dogs?
No, we look after other animals inc cats rabbits, hamsters ect. I can feed your cat(s) whilst you are away saving you expensive cattery fees and letting your cat stay in the surrounding they know.
Do you do over night care?
Yes we do, our standard pet sitting is from 5pm till 8am, If you are going away for longer the we offer the deluxe package that includes an return daily walk or pet home visit.
We can however tailor these to your needs, please contact to discuss your requirments.
How long will my pet be left alone while in your care?
We will never leave a pet for longer than 4 hours if in our care. If you have a pet with extra requirements please let us know.
Do you offer dog boarding in your home?
No we do not offer this service in our home. We can look after your dog/pet in his/ her own environment, making it as stress free for them as we possibly can.
How do I book a dog walking service?
You can book our services through our website, by phone/whatsapp , or email. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred dates and times.
What is the "meet and greet" about?
Before we commit to caring for your pet, we would like to offer you a free meet and greet. We do this so that we can see if we are the right fit for each other.
I will also have a little paperwork to fill out, but you can go to our document page to download to get a head start.
If you have a reactive dog and we need to form a bond, it may be that we need to book a few home visits to reduce anxietys. We are more than happy to work with you to accommodate your pup.
Do you accept last minute requests ?
We do for dogs that we have done a meet and greet with, and compleated relevant paperwork. We will not take on a dog that has not been through this process.
What should I do if I need to cancel a booking?
Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel a booking. We have a flexible policy ,but appreciate advance notice.
Which payment methods do you except?
At the moment we except, cash, bank transfer or standing orders.
When are payments due?
Payments are taken weekly and are due on the Monday before your walk/ visits. Bookings for overnight stays or one off block bookings require a non refundable deposit of 50% to secure your booking.
Do you work with dog trainers ?
I have contact with a great local dog trainer. I have personally been on some of her corses and can highly recommend her to you.
